Westlake curriculum consists of both indoor and outdoor learning. Over the years, my daughter took part in several outdoor camps. She also had the opportunity to join the Wind Orchestra Westlake, where she played the trumpet. They took part in performances in Ipoh and Pulau Pinang.

As my daughter is now part of the A Level programme, I have come to realise how much assistance the school provides for their students. If a student is willing to work hard, Westlake provides an excellent package to help students achieve more.

The support I received that allowed me to succeed was how attentive the teachers were towards me. They would answer my questions no matter how obscure it was, and they will wait for me to catch up with the rest of the class before continuing.

Being part of the school’s netball team helped me learn how to work with others and know when to allow others to shine. This helped me during group projects; to control myself from speaking over others and listening to other people’s opinions.

All in, the school made learning fun for me.
