whether as a prospective parent, student or member of the Westlake Community. The school was started with the vision to transform minds and change lives in the pursuit of excellence. A decade on, we are proud that our students have achieved outstanding results in high stakes examinations.
May King, Principal
As a Boarding School of repute, our purpose built campus overlooking a serene lake, nestled within the Kinta Valley mountain range offers students the perfect environment to focus and flourish. The wide range of programmes in school and boarding are designed to nurture the unique talents of each individual.
The most important asset any school can have are the people. We were very lucky with our teachers and assistant teachers in KG1D and KG2G. They are passionate, sensitive and amazing education professionals. They apply fascinating methods of learning and understanding the world around them to every lesson.
Nida Quli – Mother of children in Grade 1 and 5, who are now in Grade 4 and Grade 8
Over the past three years, living in the boarding house has taught me a number of things. Things like making my bed and getting up for breakfast. It has taught me to take responsibility for my own mistakes. We also have to hold each other accountable for what we do. Living in a home with a bunch of boys younger than me is like living in a big family with a ton of younger siblings. They taught me patience and self control, and they also taught me to cherish every second I had with them over the years. I’ve seen many boarders come in, grow and change both physically and mentally. To my boarding house parents, thank you for teaching me to be a better man, for your guidance patience with me.
Matthew Lim, Year 11 graduate, 3-year boarder
Three and the half years ago, my son has change from a keen computer gamer to a kid who continuously improves his study and has developed a positive attitude in managing himself.
IGCSE results from 2 years ago was a pleasant surprise and his recent A Level achievement was a delight. We are exceedingly proud with the amount of effort he puts in and the confidence he has shown. This is a character building. All these development would not have happened without the role models of the teachers and boarding parents involved. There are many good things I heard from my son or from my own experience interacting with the team of educators at Westlake International School.
Keep up the good work, Westlake team. Onward, in the pursuit for excellence!
From father of a 4-year boarder
